The WMBA regrets to inform the Whitby baseball community of the passing of Ray Baker, a Lifetime Member of the Whitby Minor Baseball Association.
The WMBA regrets to inform the Whitby baseball community of the passing of Ray Baker, a Lifetime Member of the Whitby Minor Baseball Association.
Ray first joined the WMBA in 1989 and was in his 37th year with the organization. He served as the Umpire-in-Chief for many years, remained active on the WMBA’s Umpire Committee, and was an OBA umpire clinician.
The absence of his presence and wisdom will be felt by the WMBA and baseball community for some time to come. We send Ray’s family our condolences and prayers during this difficult and sorrowful time.
