Is your child interested in playing Select in 2024? The Whitby Minor Baseball Select program allows kids playing House League baseball a chance to play on a Select team above and beyond their normal House League playing schedule.

Is your child interested in playing Select in 2024? The Whitby Minor Baseball Select program allows kids playing House League baseball a chance to play on a Select team above and beyond their normal House League playing schedule.
The WMBA reserves the right to field more teams, or to fold teams, based on the number of players at tryouts. As such, the list of coaches may change depending on the situation specific to each division.
What do I need to do before tryouts?
- All players must be registered with WMBA for the 2024 season prior to trying out, and must also pay the additional $20 select tryout fee (done while registering for the season). If you did not select the $20 tryout fee a cash payment will be accepted at the Diamond.
Note: Rep and select tryout fees are separate. So please bring the $20 select fee if you tried out for rep and were not successful
What do I need to bring to tryouts?
- All players must bring their own baseball glove and comfortable shoes. No metal cleats are allowed. Wear baseball pants comfortable enough for sliding.
- All players must wear their House League jerseys from last year – this will help coaches with the identification of players.
- If a player did not play House League last year, then any baseball tryout gear is acceptable.

Which tryouts should I attend?
- Please plan to attend all tryout days for your age group
- Connect with the coach(es) onsite if you can’t make a tryout or have already missed one tryout.
