Whitby 12U T2 Team are EOBA Champions!!

The Whitby Canadians T2 12 U outscored the Northumberland Jacks 12U AA team and took victory on Sunday to the tune of  7-4 to become the EOBA Champions!!
 
Congratulations go out to the players; Ben McClenny, Marcus Persaud, John Shennan, Marcus Murdoch, Jayden Carter, Daniel Markos, Jack Costa, Cash Simmons, Ashlyn Jolicoeur, Nate Anderson, Liam Bakker, and Dawson Jones and of course our Coaches Jake Gambier (Head Coach), Matt Bakker (1st Base Coach & Baserunning Coach), Jay Markos (3rd Base Coach & Pitching and Catching Coach), Justin Persaud (Hitting Coach & Infielding Coach), Joe Costa (Outfielding Coach) and Jeremy Jones (Bench Coach) and team co-managers Megan Carter and Jill Anderson.
 
The Whitby Canadians opened up scoring in the first inning.  The Whitby Canadians scored one run when Daniel Markos singled.
 
The Whitby Canadians tallied six runs in the second inning.  Ashlynn Jolicoeur, Daniel Markos, and Ben McClenny all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
 
Ashlynn was on the hill for Whitby Canadians. The bulldog allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.
 
The Whitby Canadians tallied 12 hits.  Daniel Markos, Ashlynn Jolicoeur, and Cash Simmons all managed multiple hits for Whitby Canadians.  Ashlynn and Daniel each collected three hits to lead Whitby Canadians.  The Whitby Canadians didn't commit a single error in the field. John Shennan had the most chances in the field with ten.
